Anne Frank [+ you} Exhibit at Manchester Cathedral ends 29 September

Date:
29 September 2009

There will be a powerful new multimedia exhibition delivering the messages of Anne Frank  for the 21st Century during the month of September 2009 at Manchester Cathedral.

The exhibition will draw visitors into the world of Anne Frank. Through audio-visual presentations, you will discover the concerns Anne expressed in her celebrated diary, and their relevance to teenagers’ lives in 21st-century Britain.

The exhibition includes the Anne Frank photo album, replica artefacts from Anne's life and the Holocaust, a chilling genocide tunnel with powerful film footage, a replica of Anne's bedroom and an interactive virtual tour of the Secret Annexe in Amsterdam where the Frank family hid for over two years.

Anne Frank [+ you} presents contemporary issues, including racism in football, the right to wear religious symbols, bullying and the plight of child soldiers. It includes interviews with British teenagers, helping us reflect on social issues affecting us all and young people’s hopes, dreams and fears.

The exhibition is suitable for adults and children from age 10. There is an accompanying bookshop on site.

Admission is free.
